"sincerity"

sincerity is defined variously as: (a) "the quality of naturalness and simplicity,"
(b)"truth, candor, frankness," (b) "freedom from deceit, hypocrisy, or duplicity;
probity in intention or in communicating; earnestness," (d) "the quality of being open
and truthful; not deceitful or hypocritical..." (source: dictionary.com/sincerity).

is sincerity important? how might sincerity be related to personal fulfillment,
relationships with others, or with oneself? to loving? to spiritual growth?

truth might be defined as simply sincerity, or alternatively, as something
more than simple sincerity. what do you think?

must it be that "truth hurts?" according to Swami Sri Sivananda, "Truth can
never contradict non-injury. When it does, it is no more a truth, but the
selfishness of the man which is on the fore" (Satyam (truth) in Bliss Divine. 1974.
India: Divine Life Society). how might truth or sincerity relate to
the ultimate Reality or ultimate Truth?
